A Gift

Our Holliday Season being so busy, I missed out on meeting some friends. What a great surprise I had receiving a hand made gift (my favorites)from Elaine. Her wood paintings are beautifull and she masters ''old fashion'' looks and new styles. But this time she made me some wine glasses, aren't they pretty? Thanks Elaine xx

Doux Hiver, Doux Amours - Warm Winter, Warm Wedding

Il est toujours plaisant de profiter de l’hiver, 2010 par contre s’avère si doux, les températures au-dessus de zéro nous donnent l’impression de printemps. L’ile d’orléans encore une fois nous a acceuilli à bras ouverts avec ces paysages magnifiques. Nous avons même découvert un endroit superbe face aux chutes Montmorency, le Restaurant ”les Ancêtres”, aux portes de l’ile, dans une résidence tricentenaire tout à fait appropriée pour un mariage

I think we have never had such a warm winter. Temperatures above zero, sunny spring-like days! As always, l’Ile d’Orleans welcomed us for this wedding with arms wide open. The great landscapes and magnificient views are always inviting for wedding photography. Also, we have discovered a Restaurant that has to be in your next visit, ”les Ancêtres”, in a 300 year old house with the Montmorency falls in the background

Isn't it time for a Wedding in Quebec City?

Really, Quebec has never had a winter like this one. Spring coats on, no boots, no slush, no freezing fingers!!
Lately, I have met a couple of wedding photographers around the city and up in the Old Quebec, they also find it almost bizarre to have a winter wedding without the snow...
But in the other hand, it's time for long walks around Quebec, in the Petit Champlain, at the Montmorency falls and the along the St-Laurence!
Although I must admit, the Chateau Frontenac dressed in all its Christmass ornements brings a great Holliday spirit in our hearts and makes us miss the snow a little more!!

Engagement and Honneymoon in Quebec 2009

This year we had the pleasure to meet several couples coming to Quebec city for their Honeymoon, Engagement session or just wanting a photographer to capture their stay in the Old City. We also had the opportunity to experience the Ice Hotel and Quebec in it's coldest times! Well...Better now than ever, and we enjoyed it as well. Thanks to Eric for keeping the Car warm and bringing us from place to place!

Maybe it is just because it is my City, the one I grew up in and where I practice Photography for over 20 years already!!! but Quebec is still Romantic to me and I am certain any couple coming here for their wedding falls in love even more! For sure, the chateau Frontenac, as well as a several other fine Hotels have a feel of French - European mood...Photographers also, not only for weddings but for their own pleasure come to capture the Beauty of Quebec City.
